Biography

Nichkasov Anatoly Ivanovich

Minister of Architecture and Construction of the Republic of Belarus

Anatoly Ivanovich Nichkasov was born in 1955 in Novosibirsk (the Russian Federation). In 1978 he graduated from the Engineering-Construction Institute named after V.V. Kuibyshev. In 1978-1981 he worked as an architect of Novosibirsk division of the Institute “VNIPIET”, and in 1981-1983 he worked as a chief architect of the Institute “Mogilevgrazhdanproject” (Mogilev Civil Design). From 1983 till 1986 he had been a deputy chief architect of the city and the chief landscape architect of Bobruisk City Executive Committee.

In 1986-1990 he was a Chief of the Architectural and Planning Administration of the City Executive Committee and the Chief Architect of Bobruisk, and in 1990-1992 he worked as a Chief of Urban Development Department – a deputy Chief of the Main Architectural Department of State Construction Committee of the BSSR.
From 1992 till 1994 he worked as the Director of the Institute “Minskgrazhdanproject” (Minsk Civil Design), the Chairman of the Committee for Architecture of Minsk City Executive Committee and the Chief Architect of Minsk. In September 1994 he was appointed a deputy Minister of Architecture and Construction of the Republic of Belarus.

Since December 2010 he has been working as the Minister of Architecture and Construction of the Republic of Belarus.

He is a Laureate of the State Award of the Republic of Belarus (1998), he was awarded a medal “For Labor Achievements” (2000), and he was issued a commendation of the President of the Republic of Belarus (2007).

He is an Honored Builder of the Republic of Belarus.
